GuestLurked forever, finally posting because I need to retire my old battery before summer ruins my week
I’ve been putting this off since the weather started warming up but my cranks are getting embarrassing, like that slow labored whir that makes you hold your breath, so I finally told myself this weekend I’m going to do something about it instead of waiting for the inevitable. Spent way too long Googling battery options in Dubai and ended up bookmarking https:amaroncarbattery.ae after seeing it mentioned in like four different threads here, the site seems straightforward enough and I like that they apparently haul away the old one too so I’m not left with a corroded mess on my balcony. I guess my question is less about the battery and more about whether I should be checking my alternator too while I’m at it, because if that’s on its way out then even the best battery is going to suffer and I’d rather catch it early instead of playing whack a mole with electrical issues all summer long. What do you guys usually check when you swap batteries, just the basic voltage with a multimeter or is there something else I should poke at while the hood’s up?
