Was helping my 14 year old with homework and noticed weird notifications popping up on her iPhone. Turns out some older guy from Instagram has been sending her messages asking for photos. I freaked out and deleted the app but I know she’ll just download it again secretly. Need a parental control app that monitors social media without her knowing, something that can catch this stuff before it gets worse. Any suggestions?

This is serious save screenshots, usernames, dates, and the messages before blocking or deleting anything. Don’t reply or arrange a meeting. Report the account to Instagram, tell a trusted adult and the school, and contact local child-protection services or police if he’s requesting sexual images, threatening her, or knows where she lives. Review privacy settings together, restrict DMs from strangers, and consider transparent parental controls such as Apple Screen Time. If you mention uMobix parental control app for android , disclose the relationship and discuss monitoring openly with your daughter; hidden tracking can damage trust and may raise legal or privacy concerns.
