Last season, my friends and I decided to skip the usual North Goa madness and stay near the backwaters, but our first challenge was simply getting out of the terminal. If you’re checking the dabolim airport to baga beach distance on a map, it looks manageable, but once you factor in the narrow roads through Chicalim and the afternoon traffic near Panjim, it can easily take over an hour. We had a ton of surfboards and camera gear, so cramming into a small local hatchback was out of the question.
