It feels like a lot of people are getting tired of algorithm-based social apps and going back toward smaller communities where conversations actually feel real. I’ve been exploring a few independent platforms recently and noticed that engagement is usually much better when people join around shared interests instead of endless scrolling.
One platform I recently checked out was gayteam, and what stood out to me was the community-driven approach compared to mainstream social spaces. Smaller communities often feel more authentic because discussions are less filtered and people participate more actively.
Do you think niche forums and community websites still have a future, or will everything eventually move to large social platforms?
