    Hey everyone,

I’m seriously considering hiring a ghostwriter to help me with a nonfiction book idea I’ve been sitting on for a while. It’s based on my personal experiences and professional journey, but I’m not the strongest writer—and I want it to sound polished while still keeping my voice.

I’ve never worked with a ghostwriter before, so I’m wondering what I should keep in mind before getting started.

How do you find non fiction writers for hire and experienced in nonfiction?

What should I look for in a writing sample or portfolio?

How involved am I in the process—do I need to provide a full outline, or just ideas?

And of course, how do I make sure my story still feels like mine?

Any advice, red flags, or tips from people who’ve been through it would be super helpful. I really want to get this right and make sure the final result reflects my story in an authentic way.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to learning from your experiences.
