Is it easier to gamble responsibly online — or harder?

I’ve been wondering about this lately. I started playing small online poker games during weekends just for fun, but sometimes I lose track of time because it’s so easy to keep going. When you’re in a real casino, at least you see other people, the lights, the clock on the wall — there’s a sense of the environment that reminds you to stop. But online, you can be sitting in your pajamas at midnight and not even notice how long you’ve been playing. Do you guys think it’s actually harder to gamble responsibly online, or do the built-in tools and limits make it easier nowadays?
