Our relay team needed a mobile HQ that we could pitch and strike at every exchange point without wasting time. We decided to try inflatable tents for camping since they are advertised to go up in minutes. We used the 17.2 model which offers a massive 185 square feet for the runners to stretch and recover. It actually took us about 10 minutes to have it fully standing with the electric pump. The rigid air beams are much sturdier in the wind than those cheap pop-up canopies that always seem to blow away. It’s a great piece of gear if you need a reliable, spacious spot for a team to rest during those long 24-hour events.
