I started looking for a new garage after realizing that half of my current one was filled with bicycles, camping gear, and boxes we rarely open. The car barely fits inside now. I don’t need space for two vehicles, so I’m considering a one-car model with an upper level for storage or a small hobby area.
That setup worked well for my brother because his property was too narrow for a double-wide building. He chose a single car garage with loft after comparing different layouts, and the upper floor gave him much more usable room without taking up extra yard space. Before ordering, he checked the total building height, stair position, foundation requirements, and local permits. That’s what I’d recommend doing first, especially if you might eventually turn the loft into an office or workshop.
